Hi Guys,
I know that most of you are planning WDW trips but I was hoping to tap into the wealth of knowledge on here about flight booking. I used to be a trip planning regular but hang out mostly on the cruise board now as we are slightly addicted to DCL!
We have a Disney Cruise booked out of New York next August and I am getting a little wound up working out what to do about flights.
The general rule always used to seem to be book on the day they come out for best price but now I see more about flight sales and price drops - my friend just flew to Tokyo and had been watching flight prices and they dropped by £200 each recently so she booked and made a good saving.
My question is really what do you flight experts think is the best strategy? Also what would you predict would be the likely best price I might get on 5 flights (3 adults 2 kids) in economy return from any London airport to any New York airport in August (cruise leaves on the 5th so I want to fly on the 4th and return on the 15th) Not bothered massively about the airline - I have Virgin flying club points (enough to do M+M but I am not sure if these are likely to come up or be worth it in the school holidays)
Hope someone can help \ offer any comments.
