Help with Air Tran

I did not know you could purchase advance seats on air trans and now I am very worried. My DH and I am traveling next Saturday with DS 3 and Ds 9 and I am scared to death we won't be seated together!! I am already upset with them because I booked in April for this trip and my direct non stop flight back from Orlando was changed to a change in Atlanta with a 2 1/2 hour layover and then the direct flight was added back but booked and they wouldn't put us back on!!! (they said it was full already!!!) Has anyone ever experienced this type of problem with them??? Please advise! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

I have not experienced this type of problem. But I have to say that I flew them on Friday of LDW to MCO and on my flight was a very large woman(easily 400 lbs) who the minute the plane took off started snoring very, very loudly(almost like yelling) she obviously has problems. The flight attendents on that flight did everything they could to move passengers near her away(there were about 10 open seats on our flight) ...so I found that very helpful. We were not moved-and it was still really loud 5 aisles away. The other thing you can do is pay the $5pp each way and get reserved seats-or at least for 3 of you and have DH take what ever is available or emergency rows.

It would be a longshot but if the non-stop flight leaves earlier than your flight you might want to get to the airport early and try to standby for that flight. If they have any open seating AirTran will let you take that flight at no additional charge. Another option might be to pay for a business class upgrade if those are the only seats open on the NS flight. And I agree with the previous poster...pay for advance seating now if having seats together is a necessity.
