Help with adversion to eating at DCA

We really liked the Wine Country Trattoria. This last visit we did not eat there - we were never there at a time when we wanted a sit down meal. We returned home from our 3 day visit - my DD11 mentioned he disappointment of not getting to eat there ;)

As a family of 4 we frequently end up with too much food. So my DH and I have started splitting meals and then eating stuff the kids don't eat.

We had a surprisingly good meal at the Mexican place at DCA. We had eaten there a couple of times before they flip-flopped locations (and changed names) and were not impressed.

I'm excited to try both Flo's and Boardwalk. Is Boardwalk anything like that other pizza place that used to be there? And for us, we will be passing on Carthay Circle. Too rich for my blood.

I agree. I think those will be nice to add to the list of good restaurants! :)

Not exactly "in" DCA but we always leave by the GCH exit and go to Whitewater Snacks. We love the chicken sandwhich there because it comes with avacado and roasted peppers. It is also very quiet and relaxing in there.
This trip I also plan to try out Flos V8.

I'm really excited to try Flo's V8. It look like great ambiance on top of better quality food.

I think Carthay would be right up your alley.

I did like the Sourdough bowl at Pacific Wharf when we went. Other than that, everything else at DCA was very 'meh' to me.

NO. Pizza Oom Mow Mow was disgusting. Boardwalk is good. Paradise is great.

You are served on real plates with real silverware, and the portions are lovely. If you get the skewers at Paradise, you can ask for ALL of the dipping sauces, not just one. They give them to you in small to-go condiment cups.

The outdoor seating area is vast and lovely. We've experienced Peruvian music as well as a fun sort of swing-music, both live, the times we've been there.

The Mexican place is decent, and I love the vegetarian chili at Pacific Wharf. If you don't want to eat or throw away the breadbowl, get the soup/chili in a cup, and they'll give you the bread in a bag to take away. We LOVE doing that. Less waste, and a day or two of bread to snack on! Lucky Fortune CAN be decent as long as they fully cook the rice. :headache:

be careful guys not to use another websites menus because you could get in trouble...DIS has their own menu page:

Maryjo, if you are watching...see i done good:flower3:...i should get a big gold star for that one:rotfl2:

Allears is often quoted on here as the place to look for restaurant menus so I dont think there is anything wrong with it

If you look at it you will also find the answer to your question- where to find the WOC and non WOC menus for WCT

On all ears they have the WOC WCT menus for lunch, dinner, and kids. It is listed directly under the regular WCT menus.

ah im sorry, I should have been more specific...Im looking for CC menus

Oh, there isn't a WOC menu for CCT. You order from the regular menu, but my understanding is that each person must either order a entree and app OR entree and dessert. Then you ask your server for the FPs for WOC. No special menu.

Correct. Our server described it as 'everyone must have an entree plus one more thing to eat ' for WOC tickets. Our meal at lunch was very pricey but lovely. If you can swing the price, I recommend it.
