Help with Add-on points

We are in teh process of adding on 150pts at SSR. There are 120 2008 pts banked that must be used this year (Feb UY). We are going Nov28-Dec5 and hoped to apply those points to that trip. We are hoping for BCV and since the 28th is our 7 month mark I want to call that day. We have passed ROFR about 10 days ago and are waiting for the closing docs. My question is this - if we do not close before the 28th and if we are able to get BCV (we have enough points no matter what) can the points be rearranged to use the banked ones on the new contract AFTER the fact. Or will we have to cancel that ressie and make a new one with the banked points???? Thanks in advance!!!

Technically I believe they would have to cancel enough days to then use the banked contract points, and the way rooms seem to be auto going to a waitlist, I'm not sure if they can hold them.

You might be able to get a friendly MS agent (if any BCV days are still available when you get your banked points) to book a duplicat reservation with the banked points, then cancel the 1st reservation you made.

If there is a BCV room available after you close like the one you reserved, a Team Line Adviser at MS can do a point reallocation to switch your points. No need to cancel and re-book.
