My family is planning a quick trip to DL (our first) July 1st and 2nd 2008. If you can answer any of these questions I would really appreciate it! :goodvibes

1 - What hours should I expect the parks to be open on these days?
2 - Should I expect fireworks both nights at 9:30?
3 - Should I expect two showings of Fantasmic on these days, and what
times would they be?
4 - Am I correct that there is no monorail stop in California Adventure?
5 - Does Main Street still open 1/2 hr. before the rest of the park?

Thanks for any help or advice you can offer.

Your trip is summer season so the hours, etc. should be the same as this July so...
1- DL 8:00-midnight, DCA 10:00-9:00
2- yes
3- yes, 9:00 and 10:30
4- correct, but it does pass through and cross the Golden Gate bridge
5- not sure, we're local and don't get up that early in the summer :rolleyes1

5 - Does Main Street still open 1/2 hr. before the rest of the park?
I will help with this one as Queen got everything else. There is no "always" at DLR, especially with regard to when the gates open, etc., but typically Main Street will not open early in the summer. They may open Main Street 5 minutes early just to get the lines at the gates reduced, and when they do this they hold everyone at the end of Main Street before the hub until 8AM. But in my experience most mornings they hold everyone at the DL gates until 8AM when the park opens.

I'm glad someone gets up early! I do know that DCA usually opens 1/2 hour early. The only ride open is Soarin', but you can get a cup of coffee at the bakery there and relax in the Sun Plaza. I only know this because DCA opens later and I can make it up the freeway by 10:00:rotfl:

:thanks: for all your help! One more question:

Does Toontown close two hours before the rest of the park?

I it actually closes a while before the fireworks, the staging area is right behind toon town, so for safety they close it.

I think it closes at 8:00. IASW also closes for the fireworks, but reopens immediately after the show.
