HELP with a house rental....upstate NY (fingerlakes)OR Capecod....

It's our parent's 40th anniversary and we're trying to rent a house/cabin for the weekend of 9/8-9/11. I can't find ANYTHING that would accomodate all of us for less than $400/night and that's just not happening for our families...

Does anyone know anywhere we can rent for less than $400/night?

Ok, I realize we sound cheap, but I'm a SAHM of 3 girls, my db #1 is a personal trainer and doesn't make a lot and db #2 just found a job. He's not making a lot.....and both db's do have gf's

Did you check vrbo.com? I looked at a couple of Cape Cod places, and I think I see the problem...all the ones I looked at wanted to rent for the full week only, not just a couple nights, and that weekend, though after Labor Day is the last weekend of the high season.

Try calling the chamber of commerce in the area you want to visit, they usually have a list of people who rent, and maybe they can help you out.

How many people total and how many bedrooms/beds do you need? It would help people to help you if you gave that info.

we used to stay here each year -it's right on route 28 bw old forge and inlet so about 2 and a 1/2 hours from albany.

There will be 8 adults and 3 children (8,6 and 1). There are 4 couples and it would be nice to have at least 2 bedrooms (1 for DH and I + kids so the adults can stay up at night and 1 for our parents so they have some privacy...) My brothers/girlfriends are in their mid-late 20's/ early 30's and don't have kids yet...
