Hi everyone. Well we have our trip set for the end of this month! We will be there 4/26 - 4/29 and are staying at the CSR for the first time :Pinkbounc . Our group includes me, DH, DD 2yrs, and DBIL who is 22 and is a first timer. We are trying to take advantage of the FL resident deals and doing the 3 day play + park hopper option.

So since we have 3 days at the park, I was thinking that our first day we would just enjoy the resort since it's our first time there, do some swimming and go to DTD. Please tell me if this is all doable! Here is the itinerary I have planned:

4/26 - Arrival at CSR. Swimming, exploring the resort, DTD in the late afternoon.

4/27 - AK and MGM
O'Hana's breakfast 8:30am (tentative, no PS yet)
9:30/10am - 2:30pm AK
3:30/4:00 - MGM Studios
8:30 - Fantasmic
Maybe MK to see wishes/make use of EMH.

4/28 - 10am - Epcot
4:20pm - PS at Akershaus for Princess Storybook Dinner
9:00 - Illuminations

4/29 - Check out of CSR
9/10am - MK
3:00pm - Share a Dream Come True
8:00 - Spectromagic

I am a bit concerned about doing AK/MGM in one day. Does the time I left for each park look like it's enough? I would also like to fit in a PS at Epcot Japan for some sushi, a tradition of ours.

Depending on the crowds, the heat and how my DD is doing, these times aren't concrete and I won't be upset if we can't stick to the schedule. I just want to be able to do enough for DBIL, a first timer, and enjoy everything we usually like to see, ride the rides, etc. DD will be content doing whatever we do, I am sure.

We're actually doing AK and MGM in one day in May. But, we have VERY little we want to do at each of those parks. (We just went in Feb. and we're going back in Dec...we're focusing on MK and Epcot this trip.) We'll also get to the parks before they open, and then stay till closing. Also, I don't have any sit-down meals planned for that day, to save time. We'll eat at Pizza Planet and Tusker House. It really depends on how many attractions you want to do, ya know?

I think your general plan sounds good though! :sunny:

If you're having breakfast at OHana at 8:30am, I don't think you'll make it to DAK until about 10:30am, particularly if you're taking Disney transportation. If you're in your own car, you can make it a bit more quickly.

As to whether or not there's enough time for DAK and MGM, that would depend on what it is you want to see / do.

Thanks for your feedback. I think I am officially an obsessive planner.... I am putting my schedule down in Excel as we speak. Oh dear! :p

I think at AK we only planned to do some sight seeing, and not a lot of the main attractions except Kilimanjaro Safari and Bug's Life. I love AK but mostly for the atmosphere and theming, not so much for the things they have to do there. As for MGM, since my DD loves Playhouse Disney and I also want to make sure DBIL gets to experience the rides I think we will end up spending more time there.

It sounds like you won't have a ton to do at each park then, just like our plan, so I bet it'll work out for you. Have fun! :wizard:
