Hi, I am new to the site..

I am planning to take my two brothers ages 10 & 12 and step sister age 16 to Disney World next year.. I am hoping to take them around June/July.. I really liked the Pop Century it seems really kid friendly and I think they would enjoy it. I been too Disney many times as a Child because my grand parents lived in Florida but I havent been since I was about 11 yrs..

I just had a few questions.. I have been browsing the site on/off all day and I have gotten some realy good information...

As far as budget:

I was looking to spend between 1200-1500 for a 6day/5night stay... Is that a reasonable assumption for hotel/park admission?? Or should I budget for more..

One of my brothers cannot fly so we will be taking the Amtrak down... I cannot possibly drive from NY to Orlando by myself.. How far is the Orlando train station from the Pop Century??

Also how crowded is Disney at this time of year?

Any other information would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks in Advance...

Hey! I think it's great that you are taking your brothers and sisters to WDW. If you really want to find out if your budgeting is right for hotel and park admission, I would suggest going to the Disney World website. You can make reservations online. However, if you aren't ready to make reservations, you can go through all of the steps except for booking it, and it will give you a quote. You can add tickets into the package so that way you can see how much it would run you. You can then make your reservations right there if you wish.
I'm not sure about the train station. I've always driven myself (it's not so bad from SC).
Disney gets pretty crowded during the summer months, but it's definately doable. We almost always travel there durnig the summer. In fact I was there the past two years during June. There are a good number of people, but we did everything we wanted to do. If you go with an idea in your head of what you want to do, you'll be fine.
I hope this helps you out some. If you need any other help, just ask!!

I second going to the Disney site to see what you're options are however I would NOT recommend booking through Disney. That is probably the most expensive way to go. You might want to contact the friendly folks at Dreams Unlimited. They will email you a quote. They're a sponsor of the Dis and are linked on the main page. Heck here's a link for you! Click here to go to Dreams Unlimited website. I also highly recommend checking out Mousesavers.com which has coupon codes for hotels and car rentals and information on ways to save money on a WDW vacation, including tips on buying park passes.

As far as specific advice for you I'm no help because I freely admit I leave all that up to my dh who is great at saving money on our trips (although we do spend plenty, lol).

As far as the train station distance I looked it up on citysearch at it says that the train station is 1.5 miles from the Pop Century resort: click here

You might also try the Budget board for more tips on planning a more economical trip.

hth!
