Would you recommend it? It sounds like fun & the food looks tasty. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

We went last year and really enjoyed it. We were in a quiet section of the restaurantt, so it was nice. The food was great. We're going back during our next trip in August.

We've been to Whispering Canyon several times as adults only. The food has been good both times, but it's not the first place that I think of for two adults for dinner. My personal fave is Kona Cafe at the Poly. The food there is great and the service is outstanding. I really enjoyed my meal there and will definitely be going back again and again. I can remember everything we ate and drank there from the caramel apple martini to the beef teriyaki with pineapple salsa - and that was 10 months ago. As for Whispering Canyon, I can remember eating there and thinking it was fine, but you see which place made a greater impression. I don't think you will be disappointed at WC, but if you're looking for great dining at a still reasonable price, I would go with Kona.

Thank you both for your advice! Kona huh?! Interesting, I've never even thought of going there. Read the menu & it sounds delish! I'm actually thinking of cancelling our Yachtsman Steakhouse ADR & using those 2 TS credits for two 1TS restaurants we've never been. Maybe I could do both Whispering Canyon & Kona...?? Hmmmm...

Any thoughts on Concourse? We're already doing Le Cellier, but just thought we'd try another place we haven't been.

Thanks

DH and I would, almost always, rather play!!! WC is great fun, even better if you are a participant kind of person and not a spectator!! I guess watching is good, too. :rotfl2:

My BF and I have done WCC for beakfast and dinner with just the 2 of us and have had great meals. I would say do it...you are in Disney....have fun!

We've done this many times! I actually recommend the BREAKFAST - unless you have your heart set on lunch or dinner (which are also good).

We just got back on Tuesday and ate at both Kona and Whispering Canyon. NO question--Kona is much better for kids or adults. Whispering Canyon, while decent, is not worth any special trip over to WL. We stayed at WL 3 years ago and loved it, so we made a special trip there (we were at Poly this time). We found it okay but disappointing in both atmosphere (antics have been toned down a lot) and quality of food. Kona, on the other hand, is exceptionally good--be sure to save room for desserts!

Romantic atmosphere no! A great time YES!!! DH loved it I was surprised by how much he did. Our waitress made him feel very special! We did go with our son but DH said he loved it and I had been consdiering going to disney not the parks but a stay for a couple of nights at a resort. When I asked DH where he would like to eat, Whsipering Canyon was at the top of the list!

:thumbsup2 Thank you all for your responses! I decided to cancel my Yachtsman ADR for Kona & Whispering Canyon! I got both for the dates & times I wanted! :Pinkbounc

So thank you all again! Gotta love these boards!! :cheer2:
