Tutto Italia, Coral Reef, Rose & Crown Pub, or Garden Grill??

I already have a reservation at Le Cellier for another day.

I've seen mixed reviews for all the restaurants listed. So I'm having a hard time deciding! I've been to Coral Reef, and it was very good (but that was 4 years ago).

Thanks!! :)

How lucky you got Le Cellier?!! I have never been able to get in there.

We liked Coral Reef, really calm atmosphere and great food. We were there on Jan. 12, 2010.

But i have never been to your other choices either.

Of these four, I've been to Garden Grill (good) and Coral Reef (not so good.)

I'd probably choose Rose & Crown for the Illuminations view.

We did Garden Grill last Nov and had a fabulous time. The food was very good, fresh and tasty. Plenty of it also. The service was great!

Coral Reef was so-so. Some of us loved out meal and some thought it had more to be desired. I've eatten there a few times and found it to be a hit and miss.

It's been a long time since I've eatten at the Rose and Crown, but the atmosphere was fun! The food was only OK, but like I said that was awhile ago ( about 5 years ago )

I haven't tried the new Tutto yet.

Tough one! We love Coral Reef...it's somewhat of an EPCOT tradition for us now. But we also really enjoyed Rose and Crown and Tutto last trip. But if I had to pick one, I'd go with Coral Reef because it's hard to get decent, non-fried seafood in our area.

I also ate at Rose and Crown for lunch. I can't say how it compares to the others but here are my thoughts:

-our meal at R&C was okay, but not great (fish and chips were a bit doughy which should not happen at a restaurant that prides itself on its fish and chips), and priced too high for what it was; service was very friendly and fast, but i felt a subtle, but constant, pressure to order more items (we ordered lunch with no drinks or desserts)

-I haven't eaten at Tutto Italia, but I did eat dinner at Via Napoli (which I think is the cheaper of the two places in the Italian pavilion) and felt completely ripped off. The restaurant is lovely and the service was fine, but the food was so overpriced that I was really offended and wouldn't go back. My entree was $18, and for that I got a square of a lasagna-like pasta (I can't remember what it was called, but it was a layered pasta dish with a bit of meat in it), no side salad, no veggies, not even a sprig of parsley to garnish the dish. It tasted fine, but the presentation was on par with cafeteria food, only at 2-3 times the price. If you're interested in a nice Italian restaurant, we ate at Il Mulino in the Swan and it was really wonderful, on par with the better restaurants we have been to, and I think you can also get a gift certificate from restaurants.com for them too.

I'm in Western NC too and that is so, so true!! And Red Lobster doesn't count. :rotfl2:

Now, if you're looking for some good barbecue, I can send you to the right place!

I've done two of your options.

Coral Reef: The food was actually pretty good. I went in with low expectations though. The lobster bisque was tasty. DH had a fish dish (can't remember what) and it was very good. I had a shrimp risotto appetizer but made in entree size. It was good but a bit too salty (and I like salt). The Wave dessert was excellent.

Rose and Crown: We had dinner - we all had the shephard's pie and started with a potato soup. I had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The meal was very good and we ate outside on the lagoon. We didn't see illuminations during dinner, but after dinner we staked out a spot in front of Canada and had a great view.

I've heard some good things about Tutto Italia, but it hasn't made the cut yet. Garden Grill seems nice if you want a character meal, but I haven't been there either.

We enjoyed our meal at Tutto Italia but it is expensive. A great place to eat when you are on the DP.

My vote is for Garden Grill - try very hard not to fill up on the yummy yummy bread. =D

Rose & Crown is okay, but not worth eating at unless you really like the menu (British food is so easy and cheap to make at home - we've been to the UK and are pretty underwhelmed by Disney's version). For the price, not worth it for us.

Coral Reef - Total hit or miss. I don't remember what I got when we ate there in the spring, but my food was awful. My mom liked hers and really enjoyed her dessert. I was bummed I'd need a snack so soon after eating there. For the most part, I think you can do better on seafood outside of DW (as far as quality AND affordability go).

Tutto Italia - Again, not that great. We enjoyed it, but no more than we enjoy eating at a decent Italian chain restaurant.

I've been hearing bad things about coral reef lately, but i absolutely LOVE tutto italia :) and rose and crown is great too, especially for the illuminations view. Also, Garden Grill is my one of my favorite character meals! It all depends on what you want. I'd just say forget Coral Reef.

We've been to 2 of your choices, and I recommend Tutto! We just ate there last month and the food was amazing. DH had the short ribs and I had the stuffed pork chop and both were fantasic! We've always had great meals and service there. We are Italian, and I just don't get it when others compare this to Olive Garden. Last time I checked, I couldn't get an amazing pork chop or short ribs at Olive Garden! :confused3

We didn't care for Coral Reef. The restaurant was loud with out of control kids running up to the tanks and disrupting others. Plus, the food was just okay. We had a server that was off her game too. We won't be going back.

Never been to Rose and Crown or Garden Grill.

Good luck!

I completely agree! Ate at Tutto Italia last month for lunch (on the DxDDP) and the meal was wonderful. It was, however, pretty expensive. I personally would only go there if I was on the DDP.
