Hello DISers!
I need your help & opinions in choosing a restort for next summer! We will be going as part of a WISH for a wonderful 5 year old girl I help nanny for. The family has considered the Grand Floridian, Poly, or the Beach Club, but would love to hear of any other opinions! :goodvibes

We would most likely get two adjoining rooms, and there would be 7 people all together - 4 adults and three children who by then will be 6, 5, and 2!

TIA for your help! I look forward to hearing your responses!!! popcorn::

You can't go wrong with any of those choices. All 3 are great resorts. The best thing to do would be to look over all of them and see which themeing you like best.

Personally, I would pick the Polynesian. And if you taking a 5 year old, consider the location of each hotel. If you plan on spending alot of time at MK, then Poly or the Grand Floridian would be a better choice.

I hope you all have a magical time.

Given that the kids are small, IMHO I think you all might be best off to chose one of the monorail resorts, the GF or the Poly. As JMD said, the family should consider which resort's themeing appeals to them most - but the nice thing is they are close, you can stay at one and visit the other.

It's hot in the summer and I expect the family will want to spend a lot of time at the MK with little kids. Nothing like being able to hop on the monorail or a boat and get back to your resort with minimum hassle.

Good luck with the trip :)

We stayed at the Grand Floridian last January and had an absolutely fantastic time. We took our two sons, their wives, and four grandchildren, ages 9, 8, 6 & 5. We stayed in the Boca Chica building, and while we didn't have adjoining rooms, we did get three rooms next to each other. AAA had asked for Garden View rooms, but somehow we were lucky to receive Magic Kingdom view rooms. We could watch the MK fireworks and Electric Water Pageant from our balconies. :yay:

With the monorail and ferry, it was also convenient to return to the GF to swim in their two beautiful, fun pools and play on the sandy beach. We didn't have time to take advantage of the marina, but it also looked like fun. The girls loved riding on the monorail and ferry. It never took more than 5 minutes to get to MK, and probably 10 minutes to get to Epcot. Of course, we were there during a slower time. :cheer2:

The girls also attended three character dinners: Dreams Come True Dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table in Cinderella's Castle; Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary, and a the GF's 1900 Park Fare – Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner. These were all easy to get to from the GF, especially when they wanted to change and wear their princess dresses. I would highly recommend early dining times as we were able to get right in with no wait times.

While we fell in love with the GF, I know many people on these boards love the Poly, which is also convenient to the monorail and ferry and MK, but the GF is truly a magical place to stay. Have a great time!! :grouphug:
