This is going to be our sencond trip to Orlando, last year we went to Disney and stayed at a hotel (offsite) at Lake Buena Vista, which we liked. This year we are wanting to go to Universal Studios and stay a week. I am looking for a hotel with two joining rooms that include hot breakfast or one suite that has 2 separate Bedrooms or what is the difference in a villa, condo, pool home. I am looking for the cheapest but decent place to stay.

Thanks for your help!!! :thumbsup2

Try Vista Cay--it is about 3 miles from Universal and has 2 bed/2 bath condos, 3/bed, 2/bath condos, and 3 bed, 3 bath townhomes. It is a resort community with a 10,000 sq. ft. clubhouse. Some sites are www.vistacayrent.com (owner's site) or you can find them on www.homeaway.com in Orlando area, www.vrbo.com in Orlando area. Prices are reasonable especially for the space and convenient location.

You might also try Westgate Lakes. It is a timeshare, but I know they do rentals. It is just down the street from Universal. When we were there last Fall, we let our teen stay later than the rest of us wanted to stay several times. I could be there to pick him up 7 - 15 minutes after he called, depending on time of day and traffic.

You'd have to pick up your own breakfast food, but there are several groceries nearby.

We were just talking about the condo that we stayed in two summers ago in Vista Cay. It was so spacious and beautiful. It is close to Universal and the price we paid was awesome.

Thank you guys very much for your help. I think I am going to go with a 2/3 bedroom condo/villa/townhome.

We stayed last year at the Holiday Inn Suites at the entrance to Universal
on Kirkman Road. Not sure how many people in your party but we had a
one bedroom suite. It was great. Much better than i expected after reading
reviews. It has a bedroom with 2 queen beds, a bathroom, a vanity area with
double sinks and closet. There is a huge living room with a pull out couch.
It was either a queen or full pull out. There is a table and chairs area to eat and then a kitchnette. It was spacious. There are 5 people in my party and
it was a lot of room. You can close off the rest of the suite from the livingroom. It has a full refigerator/freezer so we were able to get frozen items
and the big thing for my kids, lots of ice cream. There are several places to
eat that are within walking distance. You can even walk to Universal if you want. The bus service was excellent. It is a $4 to $5.oo cab ride back to the hotel if you do not want to wait for the bus or walk. They have a laundry
room, game room and a small work out room with bikes and treadmills. They do not offer free breakfast but there is a Fridays connected to the hotel and
they have a breakfast buffet. There is also a Walgreens within walking distance so you can get alot of things to eat and utilized that refrigerator/freezer. There is also a Double Tree hotel across the street
which I believe they now have suites. The Bestwestern in that area is also
a great location if you do not want to rent a car. The bus service was great
and alot of places within walking distance to eat. Let me know if you decide
to stay at any of these and I can tell you the best way to walk to Universal
if you want.
