Help - when to visit DL

I was planning a trip the 2nd week of January but DH just found out he might not get holidays that week. DD will be turning 2 the 3rd week of January and we had hoped to fly before she turned two (to save airfare).

So now my dilemma is - do we try to book something between now and mid December and hope to get a decent deal with minimal crowds (any dates we should avoid?) or do we forget about trying to go before DD turns 2 and fly maybe later January or Feb 2007.

Are there any deals to be had in November?

Pay for her a seat. It will be worth the money. I flew with both of my kids right before they turned 2 and didnt buy a seat. I had to hold them. It was horrible and I wouldnt recomend it to anyone! Not to mention it can be dangerous if there is turbulance.

January is great! I was there at the end of January/first of February this year and it was like I had the park to myself. I used fastpass once for Indiana Jones but that was only because it broke down and made wait times like 30 minutes or so. During my wait time, I rode Pirates twice, Big Thunder, Space Mountain, saw the Tiki Room show, and had lunch! I got there at opening and had honestly done the entire park by 3:00! Unbelievable!

One of the good things about going in the off season in January they have the everyone plays for the kids price ticket special so the park hoppers would be cheaper as well for you and your DH.

We are going the week of the 22nd. We went the week before that last year and it was not crowded at all but Small World was down for removal of the holiday. So I pushed the trip a week later so it will be open when we go this time! I think if you are looking for minimal crowds the later part of Jan and February are the time to go. However if you are looking forward to seeing the holiday decorations go before that but it will be more crowded.
