We've never been to Universal Orlando and have no clue about tickets and how they work. I read another thread about Express Pass which sounds like Disney's Fastpass except you have to buy that kind of ticket, correct? Is it on top of base ticket? So confused by this.

We only want to go to Harry Potter in July and don't know if 1 day is enough. We are fine in getting multi-day if it's cheaper to do it.

I appreciate any input/advise from experts. TIA!

Universal's Express Plus passes are an additional ticket so it's an extra cost. The EPs are going to be pretty expensive this summer and the EP doesn't work for Forbidden Journey. Right now...the two park EP is $55.99 per person and it works once through the line at all participating attractions. Child swap is available and children under three are not required to have an EP since they won't have a park ticket.

You have a couple of options if you want unlimited Express access...

1.) You can purchase the VIP Express tickets which include your park admission and unlimited Express access for the duration of the tickets. The tickets are running $199.99 per adult and $189.99 for children 3-9 years of age.

2.) You could book one night at one of the Universal resorts and receive two days of unlimited Express access as well as early entry for WWoHP (which will definitely help during summer months). This option would require you to purchase your theme park tickets separately.
