Help! What do you all think?

Hi all!

I've been mostly lurking on this board over the past year, but getting a lot of advice from it too. I have a Sony H5 that I would like to be more proficient with and I think I'm ready to actually post some of my pictures on here to be critiqued!:scared:

We're leaving 9/17 for WDW with my parents and handicapped sister, which is really a once in a lifetime trip for her so I'm planning on taking lots of pics and I want them to be the best they can be.

So please give me some advice on what I could do better and any tips you might think of. Thanks!

Yep, subject, composition, exposure, all look good to me!

Your style is beautiful. Post more, please. :)
I might crop the Epcot photo a little more tightly, but that's it and that's probably more my personal preference, is all. Seriously, your photos are beautiful.

Thanks, everyone! :goodvibes I agree with you Suburbanmom on the Epcot photo. I posted these just as they came out, but that one could do with a bit less sky I think.

It's the people shots I'm really having trouble with. I guess I just have to take lots and lots of them. I'll try posting some more tonight when I have time, maybe some I'm not too happy with so I know better next time.

I'm anxious to take some action shots too of the football games, but the first home game I'll be able to get to is Oct. 27th.

AWESOME shots!! I have this camera as well and i love it.. the only thing i am having a hard time with is the extreme macro shots..
How close were you with that shot of the bugs? I think mabye i am too close and then trying to zoom in too much..

Keep shooting and keep posting ... those are *great* pics!

That sunset with the flying pelican (at least, I think it's a pelican) is just gorgeous!!

I was a few inches away, but I found last week when we were at WDW that if the zoom is too close on macro, it won't focus.

Thanks! I got lucky with the pelican. I saw him coming and I pushed the button down halfway and when I saw him flying into the frame I pushed it down all the way. I'm a newbie at this and that's about as technical as I get!:rolleyes1

Yes, that's the problem i am having... i think i am trying to get "too" macro.. LOL
I will have to play around some more.. we leave in 7 weeks, i am so excited!
