Help!! we are now flying

I need your help we are now planning to fly for our March trip (husband caved in finally) We are going from the Cedar Rapids Iowa area march 27-april1. We are willing to go into IL to fly out as CR is usually pretty high. There are 6 of us 2 adults and 4 children. Where do you go to find your deals!! I really cant pay $300 a seat! I want to start looking now and hope to get a good deal.

I checked and found CR was 414 round trip but out of ohare in Chicago its 230 on Delta.

My suggestions: O'Hare, Midway, or Rockford. I know SWA flies out of Midway. TMA out of Rockford flies into Sanford.

Edited to add: How firm are your dates?
Edited again: I just can't stop DISing! I checked and found the same flight from Chicago for about 230. BUT... that flight gets you in at almost 10 pm. Travelocity has a Delta flight listed that same day that gets you into MCO just before 11 A.M. It's 255 pp.

Allegiant Air will likely be announcing Cedar Rapids-Sanford service in the near future. It should start in January. Keep an eye out for the announcement, and try to catch the introductory fares. However, keep in mind that the flight hasn't been announced yet, so the plans may not go through. Chances are it will be launched.

You can also check out fares to Orlando on Allegiant from Peoria or Des Moines.
