Ok so these are the two choices, and I need disboard expert advice

Option 1.

WL standard room from August 3rd-11th

8nights/8day ticket plus quick service for DH, myself and DD4 and DS 2(I know he isn't included in the quick service)
for 3418.54

or

WL standard room from October 26- November 3rd

8nights/8day tickets no dining plan for DH, myself and DD5 and DS now 3, so we will have to pay for his tickets and food
for 2978.36

Not sure what to do brave the heat and crowds to save money or pay more and go during a cooler temperature time and lower crowds what to do:confused3

Given that the end of October is typically a free dining period, OR another similar promotion - I would definitely go in October!

Even if you don't end up with a free dining offer, you are going to enjoy your trip more!

DW and I honeymooned at Wilderness Lodge in 2006, starting October 22 and we had such a WONDERFUL time thanks to the weather, lower crowds, and the ability to stay in the parks all day without being totally exhausted at the end of the day. The temperatures in the morning were very refreshing (lower-mid 70's). So we got the day off to a great start, and never had temperatures over 85 or so.

I definitely suggest October in hopes of a promotion!

My choice would be to go in October. We have never been in August, but we've been once in June and once in July and even though we didn't mind the heat, we have also been at the very end of October into November and that is our favorite time of year as far as the weather goes. The temps were in the 80s so it was great for swimming/water parks, but it wasn't bad walking around the parks. Plus the parks are decorated for fall/Halloween. Good luck.

Go in October, I couldn't even contemplate August heat and crowds. Park decorated for Halloween, weather is usually good, we've been in October twice and had a great time.

I would choose October. Likely there will be a promotion to bring that total down a bit. You'll get to experience the Food and Wine festival, and all the Halloween festivities will be in full swing. We go in August (the last week) but it is HOT. It's doable if you plan, but the crowds earlier in the month are very high. I could not do high crowds AND brutal heat. Last week of August is busier now, but not too bad.

i thnk Oct would be best for you all.
However I am a heat addict, so it'd be aug for me...:rotfl2:
