Help Wanted Please!! Question about hotel ressie and FP+

Okay, I *think* this isn't a problem but want to be reassured by you smart people.

I currently have four - count them four - reservations for my upcoming trip. I had to do a split stay for my dates because even though I am staying in the same hotel in the same room level, for some reason there was "no availability" for the full length of my trip.

So I have a reservation for the first 4 nights of my trip, then another for the last 5 nights.

Then, I found a discount, so I made a new set of reservations (still required a split stay). So now I have four reservations (two sets of a split stay). I want to cancel the first, more expensive reservation.

BUT! I am concerned about this affecting my FP+ reservations. I don't think it should impact it at all, but when my friend made the FP+ reservations the system gave him a LOT of trouble trying to add my ticket because it said I wasn't going to be on a trip at that time. I thought tickets and room reservations were not linked for the purposes of FP+, but that has me worried.

If I cancel the first set of resort reservations, will it affect my FP+ reservations?? I want to make sure I'm not about to lose my FP+ reservations.

Thanks!!

Tickets are linked to MDE accounts and fastpasses are linked to tickets. Where the resort comes into the picture is whether you can pre-select fastpasses at 60 days out or have to wait until 30 days out. If you already have fastpasses then they shouldn't disappear when you cancel a room.

I'm not sure about the answer, but maybe you should cancel it over the phone with a CM. Hopefully, they will tell you if your FPs stay intact and if they say yes and then the FPs disappear from your account, you have the CM right there on the line.

I haven't made our fast passes yet as its not time, but I had to make 4 separate ressies because I needed two rooms a night and the website would not show there was availability for the 7,8th but if you booked them separate you could get both nights, what a mess there system is.

That's what I'm hoping. Fingers crossed!

Yes, that was my plan too but when I called yesterday the wait time was 60+ minutes!! Trying again today.
