We are going to Orlando and decided that it would be best for our family of 6 to stay at Windsor Hills rather than a hotel. But I am not sure how to book it. We are staying 8 days in June, a Thurs. thru the following Friday.

Would someone point me in the right direction? I don't want to go through ebay, but rather through an agency with good service with no "extra" fees and no timeshare pesentation that must be attended. Is this possible.:confused3

Can the Windsor Hill experts help me? This is our 3rd trip to Orlando, but first in a condo. Thanks.

Windsor Hills is not a timeshare property. The condos, townhouses with private splash pools , and pool homes are fully owned by individuals. You can rent directly from owners or there are some rental companies you can go through.
There are owner listings on their own site: http://windsorhillsrent.com/

or on vrbo (Vacation rentals by owner) and homeaway :
http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/florida/central-disney-orlando/kissimmee/west/windsor-hills

We usually rent directly from owners but a few companies I would use are:
http://www.allstarvacationhomes.com/
http://www.floridasunvacationhomes.com/
http://www.oasisvacationhomes.com/search.aspx?PID=39199

We're leaving for Windsor Hills later this month. This will be our second time there. This time we have a townhouse - 3bed/3bath with a splash pool. It was the same money as a condo and much larger. We booked both on VRBO and they were hassle free. Only 4 in our family, but the extra room will be great.

Go to vacationcentralflorida.com. which specializes in renting Windsor Hills condos and townhouses. The property manager is Dave Robinson and you can email him directly and see if he can work out something with you regarding your vacation dates since they fall outside of the standard Sat-Sat rental period. I've read some great feedback about him on these boards and the rental rates are reasonable. Good luck.

We use Florida Sun Vacation Homes. They offer discounts of 15% for stays of 7 nights or longer which would apply to your situation. I feel their rates are competitive with people that list on vrbo after the discount is applied.

We love Windsor Hills! Good luck with your search! :goodvibes

We used floridasunvacationhomes as well for our first time off-site at Windsor Hills and we had a great time. I would highly recommend them. PM if you have any specific questions about our stay at Windsor Hills.

Thanks so much for everyone's help. I put in a request to whrent and received more replies that I ever expected. After days of going through all the condos available, we finally made a decision and have it booked.

The kids are excited about Windsor Hills and I will like the extra space. What amazed me is how much less it cost for the 3-bedroom condo than it did for the 1-bedroom suites I was pricing.

It makes me a little nervous booking from an individual owner, but I know people do that all the time. Having not done it before, I am just not as comfortable as I am with booking a hotel. Still excited though.

Now, I need to find a resonably priced mini van for 8 days:)

Thanks.

Bren

You'll love Windsor Hills--we've stayed there 3 times. As far as renting the van, look on mousesavers.com for promo codes/coupons, etc. We needed one last May, and ended up with Alamo for $122. That was for 7 days tho, so if I were you, I would periodically check the car rental websites. If you see a rate you can live with, reserve it, and then continue to check to see if the price drops. I think ours started at $209, and I was excited about that price! Then it just kept going down--gotta love that.

I tried to book with them just last night and they would not accommodate me with my travel dates tues- tues.

That would be awesome to get that price. Is Alamo located on-site at MCO or do you have to take a shuttle off-site? I will keep checking. Thanks.
