Help, Wanna locate a princess dress for niece

My niece just turned 3 and we would like to find her a really nice princess dress while at Disney next week. Where is the best place to look. I am talking something that is very girlish and extravagant.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has lots of clothes and accessories. You can even make an appointment to have her hair and make up done.

disney store is my favorite place they have beautiful dresses that fit to size vs the one size fits all. They are also more affordable than in the parks.

It's going to be expensive at the park. BBB is a good bet, and she'll love the hair styling. World of Disney also has some in DTD.

If money is no object then make an appointment for the morning you get there at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. If money is an object you can get great Princess dress at Wal-Mart and do hair and make-up your self before arriving at the park. Don't forget the glitter.

Yes, the BBB sell all the dresses and you can also get them to the right of the Princess Meet 'n' greet. There's a nice store in there. I did BBB with my 3 year old and she loved it. And after BBB we went to Ariels Grotto for a princess lunch.

Walmart usually has a variety of Disney princess dresses in the dress-up aisle by the toys and for great prices ($20 ish). One year I bought my daughters Snow White costume there, and my friend bought her daughters from the Disney store, and she was jealous because ours was SO much cuter! (and less than half the price she paid!) They are very glittery and fancy. I haven't looked at them recently, so I don't know how they look this season, but its worth a look for the money you save (which could be used on extra accessories!)

I also like the glittery mary janes at Target. They are usually $12-15 dollars and come in red, white, pink, gold, silver, black, etc depending on the season. And since they are actual shoes, they are much more comfy for walking in (unlike the dress up shoes) and can actually be worn for normal wear.

unfortunately we won't have our niece with us. I was hoping disneyland would have some dresses that were not available at stores like wal mart and target. We just really wanna get her something that will awe her and will be unique.

Whatever you do, don't buy a dress from Target, TRU or Walmart, unless of course you don't actually want a dress! Those aren't actual clothes, clothes can be washed! My sister bought my 4-yr-old a Rapunzel "dress" from TRU. OMG, I have mended and mended and fabric glued and mended some more that poor little "dress". Not washable, falls apart when your child actually wears it, doesn't fit well (because they aren't actually sized)... please, spend the extra $$ and buy her a real dress!

We haven't purchased a dress from the park, but we do have dresses from the Disney Store. The quality on those is fine, they are hand washable and I haven't had to mend one of those yet! The ones in the parks are different than the styles available at the Disney Store, so you can probably compare and decide which version you like better.

And, yes, I hear the BBB should have what you are looking for! It's on the FL side of the castle.

What a wonderful thought and what a good aunt and uncle!

Does she have a "favorite" princess right now? The dresses are like the dresses the princesses wear, so there will be more than a few to choose from. And worse yet , when the dresses are small enough to fit a 3 year old, they are so darn cute. I don't know how you're going to decide which one.

So let me throw in another thought here...they also have "tutus" that are to die for My DGD likes Ariel and Tinkerbell. She's not quite 2 yet, so most dresses are too long for her. They have these darling decorated tutus. My DD keeps trying to get my DGD to put on the ariel tutu and tink tutu...but she's a moving target. Usually if there's a tutu version for a princess, it will be by the princess dress. I know I would have an easier time getting my DGD into a tutu than a little dress. And my DGD loves her tutu skirts.

If you get a dress within the park or at the WOD, then it will be unique. They usually say Disney Park authentic.

So do the ebay ones in my PP - I've purchased several for my DD and they all are no different *other than price* than the ones available in the parks

All of my daughter's princess dresses came from the Disney Store Outlets. They are very high quality- much better than the ones you can get at Toys R Us or Target/Walmart. They still look great after MUCH play. We went a little crazy during a post-halloween sale and bought 4 of them for what 1 would have cost in the regular Disney Store pre-holiday.

I've also seen some gorgeous handmade creations on Etsy. Granted, it wouldn't be coming from Disney but she would probably still love it !
