HI! Not sure if this is the right section to post this, but I need a little help with the computation:
I have pretty much decided we need to book our package now for our May 2007 trip, and hope for codes later. When I enter our dates on the website
(8 days and 8 nights) with the MYW plus dining, the computer enters a nine
day ticket for each of us. This is the basic schedule, so you can better advise me...
Monday night-red eye flight from CA to Orlando-arrive MCO @ 9am on
TUESDAY (day/night #1), then WED (d/n#2) THURS (d/n#3) FRI (d/n#4)
SAT(d/n#5) SUN (d/n#6) MON (d/n#7) and TUES (d/n#8).
On WED, we would have to check out about noon-ish to make our 1:40 pm
flight. SOOOOOO.....
Do we need a 9 day ticket? I believe the nine day is only $4 more p/p than
the 8 day, however, wouldn't that also mean we are paying for 9 DDP days,
when we would only be there 8? On the flip side, if this is the case, that
would concievably mean we could on the morning of our departure have a
c/s breakfast, stash a snack in our suitcases for the flight, and use the
extra TS to upgrade one of our vacation dinners to a signature dinner, with
out having to forfeit a nights TS??? Am I correct??? :scratchin

DDP is based on the nights you stay not the days. If you spend 8 nights at the hotel (which is what it looks like to me) you get 8 TS, CS, and snacks per person. However those credits are good until midnight the day you check out (day 9). Whether you spend the extra $4pp for the extra day of park tickets is up to you - not sure if you want to visit a park the morning you leave.

Thanks for your reply!! And BTW no we would not be going to the parks
the morning we leave, we would be packing and using our real 8 days/nights for open-close theme parks!!! :cool1: , so then I should change the website default for 8 day tickets, and we would then receive 8 days of meals, right??
DH :smooth: and I had already figured we would swap 2 TS for a signature
during our stay, and grab a cheap CS for the missing dinner. popcorn::

No matter what your ticket length you get 8 cs,ts,s/person (based on your stated itenerary of 8 nights at the hotel). The dining is in no way linked to the length of your tickets. The number of dining credits is exactly equivelant to the number of nights in the hotel and nothing else. It does not matter if you have a 1 day ticket an 8 day ticket a 9 day ticket or a 10 day ticket. Get whatever ticket works best for you. We went ahead and got the last ticket day since it was just a few dollars and went into MGM (early entry) but then the things we had left for that morning werent even open till hours after we got there....then we ended up staying till like 3:00 and had to spend an extra night on the road. Probably wont tempt ourselves like that again.

we were thinking of splitting our stay, maybe 3 nights at AKL, and 5 nights at
GF, Poly, or perhaps BW, how does this work so we still pay the regular 8
day park fee, with 8 days of dining? I tried booking it separately online, but
the website wants to charge me almost the same for a 3 n MYWw/dining as
for an 8 n!!! And if I enter 3 nights AKL with an 8 day MYW, it pops up to extend my stay.....Help!!! I want to get my room (s) secured soon! Thanks!

When you split your stay you have to do it by phone in order to take advantage of the tickets being for the entire time in WDW and cheaper than two sets of tickets. You just can't do it online. Sorry

redbudlover--thanks for the info, at least I know I CAN do this! (I was shocked when I tried to price them individually!) BTW we have at least for now decided to to the AKL/BW split, both beautiful, so we can have more $$
for stuff like RP Driving :car: for DH :smooth: , Spa treatments and shopping :cloud9: for me. Never spend so much time at the resorts, just like to know they are there :goodvibes

Keep in mind that, unless you're a DVC member staying at a DVC resort on DVC points, if you want the Dining Plan for both halves of a split-stay, you are required to purchase separate admission for each member of your party, at each of the hotels you decide to stay at.

Bicker is correct so it is going to be more expensive to split a stay. You will have to have a separate package for each resort which means you will need to purchase at least a 1 day ticket at each resort.
