Help w/ Canon D30

My sister just bought this camera and we have been playing with it all morning. It is SO loud when you take a pic, you could never use it at a wedding or shooting wildlife. Any ideas or guidance?

D30 or 30D?

I use it to take wildlife pics and weddings (20D, 30D, Rebel 300D) no problem at all.

the D30's shutter and mirror are quite loud - i think probably louder than my 1dmk2. but you'll be fine at weddings and for wildlife. it's much louder to you close up with the body in your hands, but it's not very perceptable unless you're right next to the shooter.

if you're talking about the 30D, it's not very loud at all.
