Definition: Abstract Nouns
USE:
An abstract noun refers to states, events, concepts, feelings, qualities, etc., that have no physical existence.

eg: Freedom; happiness; idea; music are all abstract nouns that have no physical existence

I was beginning to think I was totally wrong when no one agreed with me. I ended up coming back downstairs and looking everything up. I do have to give credit to MY third grade teacher, Mrs. Olson, who originally taught me this concept which in turn made me teach to my own students before it was introduced in books.
