We are planning a 10 day trip with the in-laws for November 2008.

My MIL got great news yesterday, her mammogram and body scan showed no sign of cancer! She still has to get radiation every 3 weeks until June though for precautionary measurements.

I'm very lucky that I love my in-laws, and my kids adore them to no end.

Which villa would be a good choice? Granted I'm sure my in-laws will want some time to themselves too.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Great news about your MIL!! Congrats!

I would suggest OKW. The rooms are quite a bit larger & you'll definitely notice the difference. You can spread out quite a bit in the 2-bedroom villa, & the living room is HUGE in comparison to the other villas.

It has a short boat ride to DTD & golf right on property, so your in laws could go shopping or play golf for some alone time. :thumbsup2

That's my opinion.

Prayers for you MILs continued health!

I have read that a suite at the Poly works out great. It is upstairs, downstairs, you are on the monorail and you can just sit on you lanai and dream while looking at the castle plus you overlook Seven Seas Lagoon.

haven't seen the actual villas but the demo Animal Kingdom Villas look beautiful.

The 2 bdrm Villas at Boardwalk are all lockoffs meaning the second bedroom is actually a studio with its own corridor entrance, Queen Bed with queen sofabed and kitchenette. This setup would allow yu to be in the same villa but also give your MIL & FIL some privacy. Beach Club and i would assume SS also have lockoff villas.

Great news for your MIL - sending prayers that her good health continues.

I would go with Boardwalk or Beach Club villas for the location. You can take the boat to MGM and Epcot. If you get park hoppers you can go through Epcot to get on the Monorail to the MK. That way you would only have to take the bus to AK!

The pools are awesome there too !

Pixie dust and prayers for your MIL :goodvibes . We took my Dad, his girlfriend and my grandma, along with the five of us two years ago, and OKW was wonderful. They loved the patio overlooking the pond and golf greens. The rooms are huge, especially the main living area (living rm/dining rm/kitchen) compared to the other DVC villas, so much better to spread out and relax together. Whatever you choose, enjoy your time together - each day is a blessing!:grouphug:

I'd also agree that OKW provides the most space. The 2 bedroom has a very large living area including a dining table that easily sits 6 adults. Plus the balcony area was large enough to also accommodate more than 2 people at one time (for us this was a huge perk). The setting has a private feel to it and you feel that you are away from the hustle and bustle of the parks when you are there. It was the most relaxing trip we've ever had at WDW.

Best wishes to your MIL. I did my chemo/radiation this year also--finished a month ago. It definitely makes you feel like getting out and celebrating!!!!
