Help! value or moderate?!?

We will be travelling to WDW May 10-20 2005 with an (almost) 3 year old and a 4 month old. We have stayed at ASMu twice before and enjoyed it. We have also stayed at POR once and thought it was okay, but it was a short trip and we basically just slept there. This time we will be spending more time in our rooms (naps etc.) and I like the idea of a quieter resort. I was thinking POFQ because it's smaller that the other moderates, but CS and CB seem to have more playgrounds, pools etc. But, DS likes 101 dalmations and would probably enjoy ASMo - and I know Dh likes the price - I'm just afraid that after a day in the parks, an All stars just might be stimulation overkill. And with the baby, I like the idea of less walking within the resort. I want to book right away - I know rooms fill up quickly! Also - another quick question. We are going in May because we thought it wouldn't be as busy, the weather would be nicer etc. and I was sorta surprised that it was "regular" season. We usually go the last week of August - which is "value" season. Does this mean that May is going to be busier than the end of August? One year we went at the end of October - will May attendance be like that? One last question - where would I find past park hours for May?

Very cute well themed place, but small rooms. You may want to spend some extra $$ for a smaller resort with larger rooms

Since you don't want to do as much walking, I would go with a value, although POFQ is very convenient as well. If you can get a code, would you be able to afford either Wilderness Lodge (sometimes as low as $129 a night) or Contemporary Wing (around $159)? Those would be best if you can afford them.

Or you could maybe rent points for Wilderness Lodge Villa, then you would just be a quick boat ride to MK.

We are staying at POFQ this time for the "smallness" . I would go with a moderate, just for the extra space in the room, nicer amenities, and calmer feel. CBR and CSR are also very nice. There is a quiet pool in each area and at CSR you can get food right at the pool-at CBR the food court is located right near the main pool. Very early May, you should be fine as ar as crowds. It will still be hot, so keep the kids real hydrated and covered. CBR and CSR also have the option of a sit-down restaurant. I haven't stayed at POR. If you've stayed there, I 'd try something different.

My family (DH, 5yo & 4yo) go in May every year. There are some crowds (fireworks) but mostly quite nice. Last year we stayed at ASmovies and loved it. This year we decided to upgrade to CBR. We were not as happy as we thought we would be. CBR is a very big resort. Yes, there are little villages of rooms each with it's own pool but very spread out. Because of the distance between us and the main bldg.(pool,food, drink, gift shop) our children were not at all excited about the walk. Yes, the rooms are bigger but location within the resort far outweighs this for my family. In the end it is personal preference. Either way we will be going back and with each trip and these boards we are making better informed decisions.
