Help using the board!!

Hello. I am planning on going to Disney in August (I know hot!) and heard about renting or buying points from someone and they told me about this board. I am trying to figure out exactly how this works. I know I can post saying the dates that I want but what are the resorts I can book and how do I know how many points I need? I see the avg is about $10 a point for the Boardwalk, but what if I wanted the Coronado or Caribbean Beach? What would be the point cost for those? I am thinking 3 or 4 nights but I dont know the exact date yet.

If someone could please give me some information that would be great!

Hi! I not an experted on these boards like alot of folks are, but if you go to the DVC Planning Board there is a lot of information there they you are probably looking for. The DVC resorts are Boardwalk, Beach Club, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs Resort, Wilderness Lodge Villas, Beach Club Villas, and Yacht Club. You can rent points at some of the other resorts, but they are more expensive and you would really do better at those by just calling Disney and reserving a room.

Go to this site to see the resorts and the DVC Points Chart. That will give you an idea of how many points you would need per resort during what time period. www.wdwinfo.com/disney-vacation-club/DVCpoints.shtml

We are staying in a DVC resort for the first time this trip and we can't wait!!

Welcome to the DIS. When renting points remember you pay no taxes. Watch out though renting can get you hooked, I did and now I am a member.
