Help!...using ME but going to a park before flight home..where to put luggage?

My friend and her dh and 7 y.o. dd are going to WDW for the 1st time. They are flying in and staying at POR and using ME. My question is...they plan to use ME for the airport for their flight home too...but they plan to go to the park that day as their flight doesn't leave til 7p.m. So do they leave their luggage with bell services after they check out and before they go to the park? Then take the bus back to the resort, get their luggage and then take ME?
Any help's appreciated.

They can do that or they can take advantage of RAC (resort airline check-in) to check in for their flight that morning and Disney will take their luggage to the airport for them.
