This is just some advice for people posting here looking for advice on their upcoming trips. There are four things I have noticed that many people omit from their original post:

1. When will you be going to WDW? I see alot of questions like "How long of a wait is..." "How much of a crowd is there for..." What time is the Parade..." . It depends on when you are there, Crowds in early December and Christmas week are two completely different things. Yes your trip is in December, but which week can be extremely helpful in helping you plan.

2. Where are you staying? Off site? On site? Where? Which resort?

(A)I remember a question once asked about how long should we plan for it to take to get back to our hotel for an afternoon break and if they should do it. Well if you are at the MK and staying at the Poly about 20 minutes. If you are at the MK and renting a house out in town, could be 45 minutes to an hour.

(B)Oh and regarding advice #1 it also depends on what time of year and how long the hours are for that day. Is it worth taking a break on and AK day in Feb. when they are open from 9-5.

(C)It also helps to know if you are onsite and can take advantage of EMH or not.

3. How are you getting to WDW? Are you driving? Flying? Renting a car? When people ask how long it takes to get from point a to point b, it is good to know what your transportation options are. It also very helpful when you are trying to figure out the best way to get around WDW especially for those resort ADR's. Also very helpful if you are looking to do non-Disney options, like SW and US/IOA.

4. Who is going with you? A general idea of group size and ages helps when giving out advice on attractions to do first. Families with small children will do things completely different than a family with teens and what if the grandparents come along?

This is meant to be advice and in no way is a criticism of anybody that has ever posted on these boards. Help us to help you have the best vacation possible.

Thanks for the advice. As a newbie poster, I appreciate it. I have been lurking for a couple of years now and have finally gotten up the nerve to ask a question or two from time to time. :)

Thanks. Don't be afraid to ask. There is a lot of knowledge here that many are more than happy to share. None of us are as smart as all of us.
