Help us enjoy Epcot World Showcase

Epcot is our favorite park and my kids have loved it from a young age. We are also “museum people” and like looking at the stuff about/from other countries while we’re there. I agree to adjust your expectations and look at WS as a chance to slow down. I think it is the perfect place to split up. And from one planner to another, you are not responsible for every single thing for everyone. Make some suggestions, but they can be on their own for a while.

When we did a trip with a big group, some people were really not into Epcot because all they wanted to do was go from one ride to another. My H and I always tried to get the kids to stroller nap at the same time and then we would get an adult beverage and sit down for a few minutes! My SIL looked at me like I had two heads when I told her that was what we were doing, lol.

Epcot is the park where we go the most often and my kids have always loved it. I agree that you have to get out of the mentality of rides and go, go go... We skip the ADRs and eat around the world. If you're going to be there during the festival of the arts, we like the paint by number wall mural and the chalk art. So much art to see. We take our time and if my kids want to stare at the paintings of Taylor Swift (lol) we do.

We stroll through every country, maybe get a snack, take photos because each one has interesting features and things that will interest kids, especially if you let them stop and look. KidCot- getting the passport at a shop makes it fun, and pin trading with the International cast is always interesting, and they are always engaging and kind to the kids. DuckTales is cool. There is also a paper/sticker scavenger hunt. There are character interactions and entertainment. Because we skip an ADR, my kids love having the ability to get different snacks and little meals to share throughout the countries. I'm more willing to say yes to ice cream in France, Japanese candies, or fish and chips because I didn't just spend $60pp on a meal. The Japan shop is a lot of fun to explore. We also stop at the playgrounds to play. It's so much stressful to take Epcot at a leisurely pace.

Honestly unless your family is super excited about Space 220 I would cancel it. I know that's a controversial opinion but it was so overrated. Definitely a one and done.

I really think LL, as much as it can help you skip the lines, has many people walking a whole lot of extra and if you're back and forth 3 times, you're going to be tired of walking before you even get to explore the countries.

Engage the International Cast Members in conversation at each Kidcot Station.

Ask them if it is their first time in the States, what is their favorite thing about WDW,what is it like to be away from their home Country for a year(some of them are only 18!),do they get homesick, etc.

We love to listen to the accents.

Where else can you talk to folks from that many Countries in an afternoon?:)
