We have a family of 5 adults and 2 children consisting of myself(30), my parents (60ish), DB(27), DSIL(27) and two nieces 1 and 3. We are torn where to stay. We will be there for 5 nights and are considering a two bedroom villa at Old Key West but am concerned it will be cramped. Maybe a two bedroom and studio? Also considering swan/dolphin or Wilderness Lodge for better location. Totally overwelmed by all of the choices.

If it were me I'd go with the 2BR at OKW since the 2nd BR/studio has two seperate beds in it vs a single and sofa sleeper at VWL. Also, if you were planning to have someone sleep on the sofa sleeper in the living room I'd recommend asking for a room with the access to the bathroom through the laundry room so they don't have to walk through the master bedroom to use it.

Also a question, why not also consider BCV/BWV vs. Swan/Dolphin since they're the same point usage as VWL (unless you get a BWV standard view then it's less)???

Just think of the sleeping arrangements and the resulting privacy / lack of it.
Someone will be sleeping in the living room (probably you given the configuration of the group traveling) and there will be only 2 bathrooms.

I'd go with a 2 bedroom and a studio. Each family will have some privacy and their own bathroom. The kitchen/living area can remain "common space" and not someone's bedroom.

The good news is that it really doesn't matter where you stay - all the DVC resorts are wonderful places and unless you plan to commando the parks, the locations won't make a big difference. Don't go with regular hotel rooms - the washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, jacuzzi tub and extra living space provided by the 2 bedroom units will make a huge difference to your family's vacation.

Best wishes -
