Help us decide our travel plan

We arrive Thursday at around 1 pm. The parks close at 6pm. We bought 4 day park to park tickets. I am sure that on Friday we will try and do early entry for Harry Potter. Should we do the Studios on Thursday for the 3 hours or so to try and get a jump on rides before the crowds start arriving for the weekend? We had thought of IOA too but since we plan to start there the next morning not sure.

Hoping maybe to sneak in some cold pool time that night as well since the parks close so early.

Going to the Studios wouldn't be a bad idea considering Mardi Gras is Saturday night (Steve Miller Band is performing) and after the crowd last weekend, I can guarantee it will be very crowded again this weekend. If you can get some of the attractions taken care of on Thursday, you won't have as much to do on Saturday...assuming you'll be there on Saturday of course.

Okay, good. That is what I was thinking. We will have 3 full days besides the few hours on Thursday. We do want to see the parade on Saturday! Maybe Sunday as well. I saw your thread on that with the pictures.

Do you think Friday night at the Studios might be good too for attractions there if we find we have missed something since there is no parade? We like to park hop at Disney so Park hopping at Universal I assume we will do to. We usually take a break during the day at some point. Then head back out.

Since the Studios closes at 7pm on Friday, that wouldn't be a bad idea...you'll have another hour to do stuff. I doubt it will be very busy after 6pm or so since there is no parade.
