If someone is unverified, they just haven't given Paypal their checking account info. If an address is confirmed, it basically means the address they use with paypal is the same that their credit card bill is sent to. Because someone does not get verified does not mean they are not legitimate. I am unverified because I don't want to give anyone my checking account info on the internet. I may just be paranoid, but there are a lot of other people that feel like I do. Even if sites are secured, it isn't 100% protection that no one can get your information (heck, someone who works at paypal could take the info). I have had my credit card number stolen, and though it is a hassle, there never was any actual cash taken from me as I did not have to pay the charges. If someone messes with my checking account, it could cause a lot more problems because the money would actually be gone for a period of time, even if the bank eventually credits it back.

my checks could end up bouncing like the pink smiles... I will not give my checking account numer to them... they can keep me "unverified"... my shipping address if "verified" that just means that my credit card billing address is the same as the ship to address...
