We've been to Disney 5 times over the past, oh about 13 years. Every time we stayed on property, which is every time but the 1st (although the 2nd was half on half off) we have stayed at the GF. We love the GF, but the last 2 times I tried to convince the family to try something different. Didn't work.

Well, we're booking another trip for next March and since it will be much more crowded than we are used to, I thought the Beach Club might be nice to try. The pool looks great and I've heard good things. DH doesn't like Epcot that much and says since our favorite park is MK we should be on the monorail. So I looked at the Poly. It looks nice, but people keep saying the rooms are dark. So we're back to the GF.

Any advice from those who have stayed at these resorts. If it matters, we are looking at CL for all three. What are your favorite things about these resorts that we need to consider?

Thanks for any advice.

Go to the Poly. You will love the Club level! Fair warning though, the Hawaii building may still be under reno at that time, if it is then you can't book it. If the reno is over, then you will have a gorgeous new room to stay in!:cool1: I am sad that during our February trip it will be closed.

I love the Poly never stayed CL there though. I've heard WL has a fabulous CL and it's convenient to MK so I'd throw that one into the mix. It's a lot cheaper than the monorail resorts. I'd consider a split stay if you aren't doing the dining plan might be a good way to check out two new to you resorts or one new to you and the GF

We just did a week at the Beach Club and enjoyed it, but its best feature aside from the pool is that it is very close (walking distance) to Epcot and DHS. If those aren't your priority parks, I would go with the Poly. Being close to the GF may help your family deal with a different resort (i.e. if there is something they loved to do at GF they could still possibly go back easily and do it, like a specific restaurant).

We have stayed at all 3 resorts (although not CL at the Poly or BC) and while all stays were great, the Poly is our favorite resort :). We love the tropical atmosphere, the pool, the beach, and Captain Cooks. With that said, it would be a toss up between Poly and GF, depending on which CL at the GF you're considering. We have stayed both RPC and SL and while SL was ok, if the choice is Poly CL or GF SL, my choice would be the Poly. However, as much as we love the Poly and can't wait to try CL in July 2013, GF RPC is hard to beat (IMO), so if the choice is between Poly CL and GF RPC, I would have a hard time choosing (not much help, I know). As for the BC, it is a beautiful resort and it is nice being within walking distance to Epcot and DHS, but we love the MK area and prefer the larger rooms at the monorail resorts and the variety of TS as well as CS options over those of the Epcot resorts. Good luck deciding, but I'm sure you'll have a great trip no matter which resort you choose :wizard:.

I thought about that, but I think we are staying at the Hard Rock for a couple of nights before Disney and I don't know that I would want to move twice.

BC is our favorite but since your dh doesn't like epcot I picked other and suggest wilderness lodge. You can boat to MK and it is beautiful! We have stayed at GF, YC, BC, WL and AKL. BC/YC is great but we love epcot and spend most of our time there.

We love Epcot too and prefer Beach Club or Boardwalk. But if you want to try somewhere new that is close to MK, I'd recommend Wilderness Lodge. Great atmosphere and the boat ride to MK is scenic and relaxing! But we've never stayed at Poly--heard that's wonderful too!!

My order(have not done CL) would be Poly>GF>YC/BC. Never stayed at WL so can't say on that one. ;)

We have stayed at all three you mentioned, (GF, Poly, and BC), but the only one we have stayed CL was GF. Since you would like to try something different, I would suggest Poly since it's close to MK. We have also stayed at Bay Lake Tower and WL and loved them both, so that's something to consider. I don't mind the darker decor, I find it relaxing, but if you really like the lighter tones, BC/YC, and BWI would be nice. Wow, I'm not much help! ;) Honestly, I have never stayed at a Disney resort I didn't like or love. Check out photos of the ones you're considering. You might find your answer there. Good luck and have fun!

GF RPC is best club level on property (although I have not tried CL at WL or Poly). BC has been my least favorite. I dislike the CL and I dislike that so many rooms do not have balconies.

I love Epcot area resorts but I would not stay in one if most of my time was being spent at MK, especially if using WDW transportation. During a crowded time, the MK bus ride is torture.

I have never stayed at the Poly; I dislike the theming.

So I would stay GF.

I voted other. While the GF is your favorite, you said yourself you'd like to try something different, and right now, with all of the construction going on at GF, it might be a perfect time to explore other resorts.

That being said, my initial thought was the Poly, to keep your DH on the monorail, but you really should give WL CL a look. It is amazing -- absolutely magical!!! It would be a good option if the Poly CL is still unavailable for your dates. (Hawaii building supposed to underfoot refurb Jan-Mar)

Good luck with your decision! :goodvibes

Thanks for all the responses. I'm going to discuss again with DH and hopefully decide by the weekend. I'm thinking Poly .... maybe, we'll see. The rooms are pretty large there, yes? One of the reasons I was looking at CL for BC was to get a deluxe with extra space. There are 5 of us, so we like to have a little extra room.
