ok, my hubby is about to give his 2 weeks notice and change jobs so my sept trip may be off. if it is, tell me another good time to go. i was thinking about may but i love sept, no wait for any rides...love it. help me please!

My dh wanted to change jobs right after we booked our september trip and I said "o.k., but you have to tell them from day one that you are taking this trip." I think that most places will be flexible if something was already planned and they really want to hire somebody. He probably won't get paid for it, but maybe he could work it out so he could go.

well my hubby is not going :) so that is not the issue, i just dont know if i should spend the money(trip is not paid for yet :guilty: ) i want to go SO bad so i probally will but i was just asking about other times of the year. thanks tho

I agree...any new potential new job should be told upfront about any vacation plans. I've done this in the past with a couple of jobs and because they were told from the very beginning, they had no problems with it.

ETA: I just saw you said that your husband wasn't going...
Have you considered doing garage sales, selling on ebay, etc to raise extra money?

no, i havent thought about ebay or garage sales but i will, i have plenty of stuff that i could have a garage sale but nothing for ebay. thanks

I can understand how you feel about going on a trip when your husband is in the midst of changing jobs! So, if you can wait a few months, anytime in January after MLK day until the first week or so in February is a great time to go. Granted, there may be a couple of rides undergoing rehab and the hours may be a bit shorter than you are used to, but the crowds are non-existent. We've been lucky with the weather that time of year, mid-70's, but it can be cooler so you need to be prepared with warm clothes.

Good luck!

If your husband isn't going, what's the problem? Is he moving to a job with a significant cut in pay? If not, then let him worry about work and you enjoy your trip at WDW. :woohoo: :woohoo:

May, early May in particular is a wonderful time to go. You won't have zero waits for rides but waits will be much lower than in the summer and busy holiday/spring break time frames. And you will have nice warm weather with no humidity, little or no rain and no hurricane threat! I have been in January and the waits are less than what we have had in late April/early May but it was cold alot of the time and the hours were shorter. Of course my true theory is that ANY time is a great time to go to WDW but I have to say that for my family, early May has become our favorite. And its the Flower and Garden thing at Epcot which makes Epcot really lovely.

is there maybe a friend who would like to go ? what if you went on monday morning, and returned friday nite?

hope things work out!
:sunny:
