We are travelling from Universal (Royal Pacific) to SW and will not have a vehicle. I'd appreciate any feedback you have on the shuttle service between the two. I've heard that we might need to have a back up but I'm just wondering what everyone's experience has been.

Thanks!

I would also like to know. We have a discovery cove package planned for the 24th. Need to know how early the shuttle starts running. need to be at DC by like 7:30

You might be better of booking a town car service or calling a taxi. This is what the website says:

SeaWorld® & Wet 'n Wild® water park Transportation*

Scheduled transportation to SeaWorld®, Wet 'n Wild® water park and Aquatica™ is provided via Super Star Shuttle with departures based on regular operating hours* (does not run continuously). Boarding passes for the Super Star Shuttle required and available at the Attraction Ticket Center located in the hotel lobby, one day in advance and up to 30 minutes prior to departure.

*Not valid for Special Events or Groups.

When DC opens much earlier than SeaWorld or Aquatica, I am guessing you would arrive much later than your desired 7:30 am.

Thanks again Gina! Did a check, for any one that is interested:

trip takes about 10 min. It's 5.5 miles. STAR TAXI quoted me a price of Approx. $21.00 We are a family of 4

You could also walk down to Wet N Wild (maybe 15min or so) and jump on the iRide Trolley heading south. It's $1.50 per person (maybe $2), kids ride free and it takes you right down to the SeaWorld parking lot.

You definitely need to grab a taxi. Even if the shuttle ran early enought to Seaworld, the DC shuttle does not start until 9am from there.

Good to know. I'll be at Universal November 22-24 at the Royal Pacific and wanted to go to Sea World for one day too. A Universal rep on the phone said that they offer transportation to SW from Universal but did not go into specifics.

Might try the I-Ride Trolley.

On our recent stay (and our 2012 stay) at RPR we took the shuttle to seaworld and it worked out well, you just have to arrange for it at the attractions desk in the lobby the day prior. The two times we've taken the shuttle it has been prompt and clean and the drivers are very clear about what time the bus will be back for a return to Universal.

As pp's have said the shuttle wouldn't work for DC, but it's easy enough to get a taxi there and back, when you leave DC at the end of your day there are staff members outside directing cabs and guests. I believe it is about $30 one-way, which to me was worth it not to worry about being late for check-in.
