HELP - Tranfers & Shirt w/Fabric Softner

On the last 8 shirts my DH put them in with other items to dry and added a fabric sheet. Is there anything I can do to the shirts so that they can be used for the transfers. I have not re-washed them yet as I wanted to see if there was anything else I should do or put in with them that would be help.

I'm no expert on transfers but I do know that vinegar does wonders for removing most of what's left from fabric softeners.

Curious to see what others have to recommend.
