Hi guys,

With only 2 weeks left before we head over to DLP, I find myself in the unfamiliar position of being totally unprepared for our trip. Normally I have every little detail sorted, but this time, due to work commitments, I haven't been able to sort anything. Any help on the below would be gratefully appreciated.

Hotel - We are staying at the Santa Fe for a 4 day/3 night visit. Having read some horror stories about the scrums at breakfast, I was tinkering with the idea of ringing and seeing if we could upgrade to another hotel. Is it worthwhile doing this and if so, which hotels don't have the scrums.

Tickets - As we are driving over, do we just park up at the hotel and go in to fetch the park tickets. I know we can't get the room until later but would like to get into the park to make the most of the time. Also all we have is a booking reference for the holiday, is this all we need?

Meals - Apart from the breakfast which is included, we haven't booked any meals. Can you just turn up at any of the restaurants or do you have to book in advance

I'm going to start trawling through the threads to see if I can find the answers but any help is gratefully appreciated, even anything that I haven't asked about, it's our first time to DLP.

Thanks,

Kev

Hi guys,

With only 2 weeks left before we head over to DLP, I find myself in the unfamiliar position of being totally unprepared for our trip. Normally I have every little detail sorted, but this time, due to work commitments, I haven't been able to sort anything. Any help on the below would be gratefully appreciated.

i wouldnt upgrade to any other hotel just because you don't want to do scrums for breakfast - because all the hotels get busy at this time of year, so all the breakfast restaurants will be busy from around 8am to around 9.30am. So go for breakfast early at the Santa Fe (ie 7am, it doesn't matter what timeslot you're given). Or buy a Starbucks/McDs brekkie in the Village on your way to the parks in the morning, or have a breakfast/brunch later in the day at Annettes, or the Disneyland Hotel, or Hotel New York.

Tickets - As we are driving over, do we just park up at the hotel and go in to fetch the park tickets. I know we can't get the room until later but would like to get into the park to make the most of the time. Also all we have is a booking reference for the holiday, is this all we need?

yes, booking reference is all you need, you can arrive as early as you like (ie before 8am) get your park tickets, room key if its ready for you, and head off to the parks for the day. You can then come back and pick up your room key at the end of your first day in the parks.

Meals - Apart from the breakfast which is included, we haven't booked any meals. Can you just turn up at any of the restaurants or do you have to book in advance

book in advance for anywhere in particular you want, otherwise theres a good chance you may not get the venue/time you want to eat.

Hope this helps, enjoy :goodvibes.

We went to the santa fe and i agree the earlier you have breakfast the better maybe see if you can have breakfast in fantasy land it might be slightly quieter

as for meals i agree with Elaine definately have a look at the restaurant reviews and try and book in advance

I would try adn include at least one character meal at least then you avoid the park scrums :)

Good luck and happy planning :goodvibes:goodvibes
