I am just begining to do my research on park passes. The DW and I just recently became DVC members. Although we get a discount on UPH passes, and the PAP would save us money if we go back again within 12 months we are worried that we will only be going for one trip in the next 12 months in Jan 05 for 10 nights, 11 days. (Although we are hoping to make F&W on Halloween 05)

We recently heard of the Fun in the Sun Passes or FITS passes and have found discount Orlando to buy them $310/adult and something less like $240 for children. Has anyone had any problems issues with these. I understand the vouchers are basically marketed only for eupopean and australian travelers but 30 consecutive admissions to all parks and water parks and PI seems a real bargain and a character breakfast free as well.

Is there an issue with american travelers using them and is discount orlando reputable, help please!!!!!!

I found this snippet of information about FITS tickets on the MouseSavers site

"I have had numerous reports from residents of the US and Canada who have had no difficulties in using the 30-Day pass. They showed US drivers' license or similar ID when activating the pass. In September 2004 I did have one report from an American who was hassled at the time of exchanging the voucher, and informed that these tickets are intended for international visitors. (They were allowed to use the pass, however.)"

When are you planning to travel? The current passes are valid until (end of?) April 2005 and it's not currently known whether this type of pass will be continued after this date.

if you are only going once a year - then yes go buy it

but I like to go several times a year - so for me either annual pass (still waiting for that discount) - or pass hoppers work better

if you time your trip right - the annual pass can be used for the year that you activated and next year. It is for the entire year.

Hello, We generally go only once a year and spend other times at Hilton Head. We just went at the end of sept. for 2 weeks and used the FITS pass. They were fabulous!!! The cost is about the same as a 7day park hopper and for that price they include a character breakfast! We used the character meal at Crystal Palace. They worked really well for us and were no problem to use. We had them validated at the Intl. Gateway entrance at Epcot. We were not given any trouble at all for these. We did have to show our drivers license but otherwise they exchanged them very easily and we used them freely everywhere!!! IF you have any questions let me know and I'll try to help. If you got to the budget board and type in (fun in the sun) you'll see quite a few threads on this.....

We also used these on our 14 day trip this summer. We felt this was the best buy for our money since we are not going back until 2006. We exchanged at the World Gateway, took a little time as they had changed something in the computers, but no questions asked. We used our vouchers for the character breakfast at the Grand Floridian. Great breakfast.

i'm so excited!!!

and still a bit nervous....

jennwdw and BWVPam, would you please tell me exactly what to expect when go to use these FITS passes.

what i received (via fedEx from discount orlando vacation) was a printout if the e-mail that had the ticket ordering info, someone's business card from DOV, and 2 cardstock, tri-fold, pages that say on the top "exchange voucher" and "WDW Fun in the sun ticket."

are these the actual tickets, or does it get exchanged for a ticket? do i get it back? or how else would i be able to get into KSC if i wanted? i think the DOV website said to always keep all three sections. what do you show when entering another park say on the next day? and what happens when i use breakfast portion at breakfastosaurus? do they keep that portion then?

thanks so much for your help

dj
