Okay, while I have managed to book a low rate, get the quiet room, get the early seating and request a certain dining rotation (all from reading these amazingly addictive boards) I am at a loss for Pirate night. I had a DS who absolutely goes nuts for Pirates, He can tell you every line from Peter Pan. So I have to know...What is Pirate night? Should he bring his pirate hat and accessories? How do I prepare?? Help

bring everything

the waiters/waitresses etc... all dress up and sing songs during dinner

then there is an on deck, dancing, singing show with the characters, all dressed in pirate gear - culminated by fireworks being shot of from the ship

We just got back from the April 2-9th Magic cruise.....
As DJS stated the waiters dress up and sing songs, the dinner menu that night is "pirate themed". At dinner you get a souvenier menu that is like a pirate map and a pirate bandana that glows under black lights....

The show is FABULOUS!!!...It starts off with "the good pirates" singing and dancing....teaching everyone how to do "pirate dances"....then Pirate Minnie and Pirate goofy, Chip and Dale comes down and joins them...after they sing and dance....the ship gets dark, and black lights get turned on....Capt Hook and the "bad pirates" (stitch, Mr Smee) take over the ship.....they sing and dance to bad to the bone....etc...then Mickey saves the day and the fireworks start going off....

Our whole family dressed up for our 3/19 Magic cruise, and while we were definitely among the minority it did add to the evening (and gave us some great photos, including of our ds sword fighting with our server) and my ds was one of the kids picked to dance onstage with the pirates during the deck party. We did it fairly inexpensively by picking items from clearance racks, thrift stores and Party America.

Sounds awesome. Do they have this on all the cruises?

My youngest DS would LOVE this pirate:

Bump...

Is Pirate night on every cruise? Anymore suggestions to Pirate Night?

And is their a Pirate night on the Wonder? Is it the night you leave Nassau?

Is it during your dinner seating? We had a pirate-themed dinner with bandanas, but we didn't have the show that you describe last Sept. It could be because it was the Hurricaine redirected cruise.

The on-deck show is after the second dinner seating, starting about 10:00 as I remember. The whole evening is "Pirate-themed", starting with the dinner menu, bandanas, the actual food, servers' attire, costumes worn by some guests, followed by the Deck 9/10 show as described by djs113 and heathercat. There is also a late buffet on deck after the fireworks.

Pirate Night is fun, fun, fun! Did I mention it was fun??

Gotta bring a costume for the next cruise! pirate:
