We have a group of 24 people in our family going down to WDW next Thanksgiving. We want to eat a traditional meal (turkey, dressing, etc.) but I'm not sure where??? Could someone please tell me which restaurants serve a traditional Thanksgiving, and also how far out I can book it. We have such a large group I'm worried that no restaurant will be able to take us. :(

I know of 2 places that serve the traditional feast

The convention center at the YC and Trails end Buffeteria.

Although it wasn't at Thanksgiving, we had a great traditional meal at the Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom. It's served family style, and the servers bring as much as you care to eat. I'm not sure if you would be able to book a group that large though. Good luck with your plans.

Many restaurants offer "standard" Thanksgiving fare in addition to their regular menu on Thanksgiving. We did 22 people at LTT seven years ago-excellent choice--we had 2 large tables. 2 years ago we had 24 people at Fulton's Crab House which offerred turkey w/ trimmings in addition to regular menu. This year, we have 29 people at Whispering Canyon. They are offerring a special Thanksgiving menu; I'll let you know in early December how it is!!!

For this years reservation, I called group dining 6 months before to inquire about possible restaurants with such a large party. They said due to the size of the party, I would have to go through them but that most restaurants could accomodate us. They also said the reservation could only be made using the restaurants normal booking time frame (120 days for resort restaurants & EPCOT, 60 days at MK). I called at 7:00 am 120 days out and asked to be switched to group dining who made the reservation. I had to leave a $10 per person deposit b/c of the holiday.

Thanks so much you guys! :) I did some searching around and found a couple of websites that talked about all the special Thanksgiving dinners around WDW. I'm not sure which one we'll do, but it's good to know there are lots of choices. :)

Erika,
would you mind sharing those websites with me? I am thinking about Thanksgiving 2003.
