Planning to spend the day in Animal Kingdom. Cannot get into character dining there and not sure that Rain Forest is a preferred option. If you were visiting, what would you recommend for breakfast, lunch? Where would you do dinner? I am striking out on character dining options on Thurs 10/25 and have no clue where to go or what to do- too many non-character options!

Also, any good walk up options for dinner at Epcot and Magic Kingdom (similar dilemma as above on Friday, and I am going to the Halloween Party)? My 75 yo parents tend to be a little more formal (OK, they like to sit down for dinner and eat something that is hot and not fried).

Thanks for your feedback.

Not sure I am following what you want to do....

Are you asking for a sit down breakfast, or lunch or dinner in the AK park? As far as I know for 10-25 your only option for a sit down is Rain Forest and Donald's Breakfastosaurus. Donalds is breakfast with Donald Duck and serves this http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/men-brak.htm

For lunch there really is only counter service and one of the better ones Tusker House, is closed for a refurb.

If you want a character meal other than Donalds for breakfast you could go over to the Beach CLub resort and do the Goofy's Breakfast at Cape May Cafe. Then you would have to take a bus to the Animal Kingdom but you would have to get to the Beach Club for your breakfast ADR. Not sure where you are staying.

Edited: Totally spacing on this, I was thinking you said MGM. AK will only have the AK lodge with some good sit down meals for dinner BOMA is one I hear a lot about.

Visist www.allearsnet.com and go to dining to see all the menus broken down by park or resort! Good luck! Some of the restaurants near the MK on the monorail are good. 1900 Park Fare -GF, Grand Floridian Cafe, Kona-POLY and Ohana's POLY also Concourse Steakhouse at Contempoary.

Good luck!

We thought Flame Tree BBQ in AK was a pretty good choice....there is limited outdoor seating though, especially at peak times.
