well its finalized
i extended my 50th birthday bash!
However those first EIGHT nights before BCV FIVE nights are at Pop

How do I get myself comfortable there?

Stayed there twice before but only two nights each time
Im planning on lots of park time at Pop and lots of Stormalong Bay/relaxation time at BCV

The first thing I would recommend is that you stop thinking that Pop Century is such a big letdown from Beach Club Villas. It won't help if you go into your eight days there thinking you aren't going to have a good time.

We find there are so many hidden things at Pop Century. Just doing one walk around the grounds isn't enough. We like that the food court, the bar area and the gift shop are all connected. We like the non shared bus transportation. We love the shadowboxes in the lobby and can easily spend a half hour there each time. And by we I mean my 47 year old husband and me who is 45 years old.

Pop Century is also the only resort where we consistantly got towel animals on one trip and for another trip, got locked down for 24 hours because of a hurricane. So it's sentimental for us too.

Oh - and I almost forgot about the Sandhill Cranes we literally walked into the last time we were there.

POP has the BEST meatball sandwiches on property. I know that they are supposed to be the same thing as at other places but I'm telling you they are better. I also like to search out the shadowbox that has the can of Tab soda as that is still the only soda I drink (yes they still make it). The quiet pools at POP are great for a late night dip after the parks and they are usually empty. My one tip though is to bring a little fan with you as the rooms don't have a ceiling fan and late at night those rooms get stuffy without air circulation.

Well said! We stayed at Pop for my DM's birthday, and we all loved it!

Well I enjoy the music in the morning on the way to get my coffee. And it is one of the only places you can refill your mug with frozen coke! Yum! Since you are turning fifty you should request the 50's section and make a theme out of it. Do the twist 50 times, count 50 steps away from your room and take a picture, also get a picture with the number 50, do 50 laps in the bowling pin pool, tell 50 people you are 50, and think to yourself 50 times how lucky you are to be spening your 50th birthday at WDW! Have a magical time!:wizard:

I have asked for 50s section cos i was born in the 50s and im turning 50!

just called wdw again and switched last 4 pop nights to Coronado. So its 4 nights Pop, 4 nights Coronado and 4 nights BCV

You're going to be in Disney World and Pop Century is a very cool resort, just relax and have a great birthday trip :)

WOW --I really hope that you thought this through. That's a lot of hotel changes for 12 nights. BUT at least your staying at three great resorts. Of all the mods, CSR is my favortie.
