Hi! We are four weeks out from our second family trip. I was confirming our ADR's and realized that I never upgraded our Beirgarden reservation to a Candlelight processional. This led to the discovery that it is now 2TS for all tiers, which is pretty pricey! This throws off my DDP calculations.

Here are our ADR's:
1-Dec-10 CR Chef Mickey (6)
2-Dec-10 AK Donald's Safari Breakfast (6)
3-Dec-10 MK Crystal Palace (6)
4-Dec-10 Epcot (Candlight Processional) Beirgarden (6)
5-Dec-10 GF 1900 Park Fare (6)
6-Dec-10 HS Fastasmic - Mama Melrose (6)
7-Dec-10 MK Bibbidity Bobbity Boutique*
7-Dec-10 MK Cinderella's Royal Table*
8-Dec-10 Poly Ohanna breakfast (6)

So I have two choices, I think. One, pay out of pocket for Donald's Safari (107.94) or stick with the Beirgarden dinner (not CP Package) and hope for the best.

Is there something even more logical that I am missing?

Thanks for any help,
Tracy

Last year we chose to pay out of pocket for CP instead of using 2TS credits..seemed like a better use of dining.

In almost all cases, using 2 regular-DDP TS credits to pay for a 2TS meal is not a good deal. If you've gotten the DDP for free, it's easier to 'justify' (since you didn't pay for any of the credits anyway), but the relative costs of 2TS meals to 1TS meals is not double. In your case, the extra TS credits are not even paying for upgraded food/service (since you'll eat the same either way, CP package or no CP package) but rather for a place in a line.

In your case, I would probably remove the Candlelight Processional package and just go to dinner at the Biergarten, and line up for the CP show (or line up for the early CP show and head to dinner afterwards, either way). While the CP is very popular, you are going to be there during a fairly slow weekend, and you shouldn't have a problem getting into the theater with waiting in line for the show. Keep in mind while planning that if you are going to a second or third performance, you will hear the earlier performance going on as you wait in line.

Unless not waiting in line is worth $120 to you? In which case I suppose paying oop for the least-expensive breakfast (not sure if that's going to be Tusker House or Ohana) is the way to go.

Have you already reserved the Candlelight Processional at Biergarten? The Tusker House is the least expensive. Since you are going the same time as me; you probably go the free dining??? I always go with what costs me as little OOP as possible. If you did get free dining, it would be less expensive to pay for Tusker OOP than CP.

I have reserved plain old dinner. I priced it out and Donald's breakfast is the cheapest out of pocket. I think I will see if I can get a higher tier restruant for the package. I don't know, kind of wanted to try BG. DH's family is German, my daughter is studying the language, it's our anniversary and our reception was at a private German club. But the price is steep! (and yes, we are on Free dining, gave up a 30% discount for it).

Thanks for your thoughts.
