Help! Someone w/an annual pass

Hey there!

I am considering going ahead and getting the AP for our trip to DL in November.

I haven't booked our rooms yet, because I was waiting to find a better deal on the DLH.

Anywhoo, I know AP holders get discounted rooms, but I'm wondering how much of a discount it is....if it's pretty good, I was thinking of staying two nights at GCH, and two nights at DLH. (Instead of all four at DLH.)

I called DLH directly, and w/my AAA discount, the best room rate they gave me was 220/night.


Any AP holders go in November last year, or have a ballpark on room rates?

The standard AP discount is 10%. If they have a special AP promotion, I have seen the DLH around $159 and GCH around $229. However, those special promotion prices seem to go up each time. When are you going in November? If it is even close to a holiday, they won't have promotion dates avail.

We went last November and got the $220 a night rate at the GCH, that was a DTD view with 1 Queen and bunk beds. That was the weekend of the 4th iirc. The AP rates go away soon after. hth

I called for a room at PPH for weekdays in August and the savings were not substantial at all - the posted rate was 270.00 per night and the AP rate was just 10% which made it 243.00. So I think that 220.00 at DLH sounds pretty good, especially in November.

I don't know when/how they announce special rates, I wish I knew...

I think I'll go ahead and just get the AP's.....I'm pretty sure there'll be a good rate for when we're going, because it's right after Veteran's Day, in the lull before Thanksgiving....

I'll let you know what I find out!
