Ok here is the deal.

How easy is it to film with a camcorder and then use the other hand to take a photo with a digital camera?

I know stupid question, but i really want to get a camcorder for out next trip to Disneyland but ive read that some (well in my price range) dont take great photos where my own sony cybershot camera takes excellent ones. So tell me how easy is it film lets say my daughter meeting cinderella and when she has a photo take a picture with my digital camera, but still filming with the camcorder at the same time. One hand holding each device.

I'm starting to confuse myself :headache: :lmao: I would get someone else to take the photo for me but i go alone with my daughter and i dont really trust other people taking photos incase they come out bad. So this is the only way i can capture both.

Any tips on how this is possible. Or is this a useless question

Well my experience is that is is difficult becuase they are both operated with your right hand.

You could get a lightweight tripod to put the video camera on and then take the picture while the video is running.

Honestly, if you are intent on getting both--I would just hand off the camera to someone else to get the photo. A lot of the time a character is there with "handlers" of sorts that are, in my experience, more than capable of getting a snapshot. I would be a little more trusting in this digital age when you can immediately review your photos and re-take them if you aren't happy :thumbsup2

If someone else takes the picture and you don't end up liking it after you review it, just stop the video with a few seconds to spare and take the photo yourself.

Thanks, I think that is what i may possibly have to do or give them the camcorder to hold while i take the photo.

I have just brought the camcorder so i can at least have a little practice when it arrives.

Thanks:thumbsup2
