We've just made a reservation to stay at Paradise Pier hotel for 5 nights in 2 weeks!! This is from someone who usually has her yearly Disney World trips planned out a year in advanced. :scared1: It was a last minute thing, and we haven't been to Disneyland in a very long time. We're going to spend 3 days at the parks. What do I need to know? I feel like I know and could do WDW with my eyes closed, but have no idea about DL. We'll be there 11/5-11/10. Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciative. TIA!

How busy is it during this time?

Weather-is it too cool to swim?

Is there some kind of transportation from LAX (I think we took something like the magical express years ago, but I know we had to pay for it- think it was like $20?? anyone know for sure?)

Any advice on the things to hit first? Looks like park hours are 10-8 and 9-12am on Friday.

You may have picked the slowest week left this year. I wouldn't say it's going to be an empty park or anything (I don't believe that has happened since Carsland opened), but crowd-wise, it should be better than average (we went at about that same time last year - the weekdays were fabulous).

I would lean towards not swimming. We are still having slightly warmer temps here, but aren't swimming anymore because of the cool nights. Then again, our pool isn't heated...so, I might throw the swimsuits in if I was staying at a hotel with a nice heated pool. :thumbsup2

There are several shuttle companies. I believe Disneyland Express and Super Shuttle are the most popular. My sisters BF used Super Shuttle when he met us there. They were on-time for him and he didn't have any complaints about them.

Well, staying at PP, you should have access to EMH every day. I'd take advantage of that if I were you. Radiator Springs Racers and Toy Story Mania would be my first rides in CA. Peter Pan, the Matterhorn and Alice in Wonderland would be my first rides in DL. I would grab a Space Mountain FP first as well (at regular park opening).
