Help - smallest moderate resort

i stayed in building 5 in POFQ it is right next the the river, it was very nice and quite. once in a while you can hear the ferry go by

I was also looking at CSR for a possible trip with 2 adults with children ages 15, 12 & 8. The main drawback to me at CSR was when I discovered, after much research, that they have very few connecting rooms at CSR. That could only be a request that was not guaranteed. Many people who had requested this were given 2 adjoining rooms right next to each other but did not get the ones with a connecting door between the rooms. There are only 30 or 32 Junior Suites at CSR but only 2 of them are in the Cabanas section near the Dig Site. The others are all in Casitas 1 and 3.

I then checked out POR and POFQ. While I would choose POFQ for just my DH & I, POR is my choice if we take the 3 grandchildren. They will honor a request for connecting rooms if you have it noted in your reservation that your booking is for 2 adults and 4 children all part of one household. They have a large number of connecting rooms at POR.

We were just in connecting rooms at CSR this past March.

Even so, we know that no resort will guarantee you connecting rooms. They honor that request if they can, but you have no way of knowing until check in if you will for sure be getting them or not.

Also, my Dreams Unlimited TA has only warned us to stay away from the All Star Music and The Contemporary if we want connecting rooms, which we usually do. She didn't give us that warning when she booked CSR for us. And we got our connecting rooms.

I'm a HUGE fan of POFQ. It's my favorite! First time, I stayed in building 1, in a corner room right by the river. It was awesome! Second time, we stayed in building 5. Everything is a very manageable walk away and the grounds are beautiful. The pool is also a lot of fun with great theming!
