HELP! Should i go to Disneyland or WDW

I hope that i'm posting this at the right place,but her it goes. I'm trying to decide beween wdw and disneyland. I will be going to wdw for a one day visit before going on a disney cruise. The trip would be for seven nights in september 2013. I have about six thousand dollars for another disney trip. I like the ideal of walking to the parks such as disneyland. Also i haven't been to disneyland since 07 I have decided on a resort hotel. For wdw it would be the grand flordian and the disneyland it would be the disneyland hotel and both would be concierge. any thoughts would be great thanks

That can be a tough choice as both resorts are great places! The Grand Floridian is one of my favorite hotels - DL can't compete there. However, my vote is Disneyland because they have so many new things opening up now. There's a whole new land, Carsland, with three new rides. There's also Buena Vista street, the new Alice in Wonderland, outside, nighttime club-thingy. These are big deals. All of this opens up next month and everyone is very excited.

If you are going for just ONE day, and want walkability - definitely choose Disneyland. No question.

Magic Kingdom is much bigger, Grand Floridian much further away from the MK as well. Disneyworld just takes a lot more time than Disneyland.
