Help!!! Sewing Help!!!

We are going on the DCL Fantasy at the end of July. The bandana they give you for Pirate Nights is too small for DH. I have a couple from our first cruise. How do I make it "bigger" so it will fit DH's head?

TIA for all of your help. DH will really appreciate if I can make that bandana so he can wear it.

I would add some elastic to 2 of the corners

I haven't seen it so its difficult, but I would maybe get a large triangle of fabric the same/contrasting colour that you KNOW will fit hubby, and applique the "official" bandanna to the top (you can use iron-on bonding if you can't sew very well) so he's actually tying on the BIG triangle but the small one will be clearly visible.
