Help Settle a Fastpass Bet

Remember, WDW only started fingerprinting in 06, not that long ago.

WDW has been fingerprinting (or some form of finger measuring) for way longer than that. At least since 2000; not sure when the current system was implemented, but they had an older system before that.

I'd agree with some that it is pathetic that DLR still uses handstamps.

It does work with a park hopper as well.

Our last trip, DH found an expired ticket on the ground. It was a single day, 1 park admission.

The following day, it worked for a fast pass.

Also, on our November trip, my son accidentally used one of our Halloween Treat tickets from October in a machine. It also gave out a fast pass.

You have to remember - the WDW APs and such don't have photos on them. That's why finger measuring was implemented.

There really isn't a better way to reduce the crime of transferred tickets. Many forget that DL is a "local park" like a Six Flags. The volume of repeat locals far far extends the number of Orlando/local FL residents that attend the park. You also get a much greater demographic of folks that could possibly be interested in this type of white-collar crime, as they can't afford the increased prices. Therefore, they do this out of necessity. After all, they are a company and a business, first and foremost.
